The Whitworth base features arched cast iron legs, a visible gear-and-wheel crank assembly, and through-bolt bronze fasteners that emphasize its mechanical heritage. A full-width steel crossbar system connects the legs, enhancing structural integrity while echoing early factory machinery.
Heritage-style markings on the base reinforce the table’s authentic industrial character, making the mechanics a focal point rather than something hidden away.
With an 11-inch height adjustment range, the Whitworth transitions seamlessly between dining height, counter height, and pub height. Its substantial mass and ergonomic adjustability also make it an excellent executive desk or statement workspace.
Inspired by Joseph Whitworth, the influential 19th-century British mechanical engineer known for advancing precision machining, this table reflects a legacy of accuracy, strength, and uncompromising industrial performance.
Designed in Knoxville, Tennessee and assembled in-house. Built using a combination of sourced components and hand-finished craftsmanship to deliver lasting strength and authentic industrial character.
